Meet Audra

MEET MY CHARACTER

  • Tell us about your story:
    • When and where is your tale set?
      • A small Canadian town called Sugarwood, Ontario
  • Who are you?
    • What is your name?
      • Audra Clemmings
Are you a fictional or historical character?
      • Fictional
What’s your role in the story – are you the protagonist or a supporting character?
      • I am the protagonist. Sometimes upstaged by my dog Drake.
Are you a human, animal, alien, robot, or something completely different?
      • Human.
    • Do you consider yourself to be good, bad, or indifferent?  Would others agree with this assessment – why, or why not?
      • Depends who you talk to. Most people consider me to be kind and loving. Except the local police who think I’m nosy and can’t stay out of trouble.
  • What do we need to know about you?
    • What is your personal goal?  I mean, what do you ultimately want?
      • All I want out of life is to run my craft shop, Stitch’n’Time, and hang out with my best friend Merilee and my dog Drake. I’d also love to smooth over the relationship with my husband before I get so angry I get the local witches to put a curse on him.
What is standing in your way?  What conflict(s) do you face?
      • Conflicts? I have no conflicts. Well, aside from finding a couple dead bodies, run-ins with Officer Grant, avoiding my husband’s boss who runs a large development company, keeping the Sewing Circle at our craft shop from destroying the place… Okay. Guess I have some issues.
Why is this goal important to you?  What’s your motivation?
      • I’d love to have a calm, peaceful life, especially now that the kids are off at college, but…*sigh* there always seems to be something popping up to make me break my word that I won’t be nosy anymore.
    • If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be, and why?
      • Definitely the gray hair – although I’m earning every one of those little suckers! And I’d stop eating so many sweets. Except at Halloween. And Christmas. And Valentine’s. And Easter. And Thanksgiving.
  • How do I get a copy of your book?
    • Is it available now, or when can we expect to see it released?
      • It’s out now and I love the cover!! Just in time for Halloween.
