#BooksForTheHoliday – Today was VJ Day and Now It’s National Spirit of ’45 Day

Though no one really knows the exact day, it is generally agreed that today (V-J Day) marks the end of World War II. This is because it was the day the armistice was signed in 1945. It’s also known as National Spirit of ’45 Day in honor of the Greatest Generation, whose inspiration, perseverance, and sacrifice is known as the “can-do attitude.” In addition to honoring those heroes, the hope is to instill this spirit into current and future generations.
