#BooksForTheHoliday – National Unicorn Day

Carl Saga once said: “Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.” That is one of my favorite quotes because it is so true. Often, new discoveries help to prove, disprove, reimagine, and create new questions all at once. Just when we think we understand, we learn we know very little. So, are unicorns real? I’d like to think so – they just might not be in this plane of existence.

Today, as we celebrate National Unicorn Day, enjoy the wonders of the unknown and embrace the delights of the possible.

ALICORNS, UNICORNS AND PEGASUS EXPLAINED

winged unicorn (cerapterflying unicorn, or unisus) is a fictional ungulate, typically portrayed as a horse, with wings like Pegasus and the horn of a unicorn.[1] In some literature and media, it has been referred to as an alicorn, a word derived from the Italian word alicorno,[2] or as a pegacorn, a portmanteau of pegasus and unicorn.
