Dark Historical Fiction
I knew what a golem was, so seeing a middle grade book about one drew my eye. Was this a horror story for kids? I needed to know more.
Surprisingly, this is a Jewish tale. A Historical Fiction about Judean lore and culture. It is a bit dark, but well written and meaningful.
I recommend this for older kids. I think it’s more appropriate for mature middle grade or young adult. Still, it has merit both as entertainment and cultural for sociological reasons. An emotionally complex read.
