Meet Jerrod Francis Grost

Meet My Character

  • Tell us about your story:
    • What is the name of your book?
      • “I haven’t finished writing it yet so there isn’t a title… I looked at Julie… Oh you mean the story I’m the lead man in. Sorry. It’s called New Identity and is part of the Forever Mine Brand and published via Plaisted Publishing House.”
      What genre is it?
      • “Genre. It started as a Romance. I found my soul mate which caused utter chaos. I think it’s a bit of a murder, mystery romance after all I’m the… okay I’ll wait for that question, Julie. I’m just so happy to be here.”
    • When and where is your tale set?
      • “Well It begins in Elsewhere USA. The author didn’t give the small city a name for some reason. However we end up in Boston, USA. I don’t want to get it mixed up with Boston in England,” I chuckled.

  • Who are you?
    • What is your name?
      • “My name is Jerrod Francis Grost, though you can call me Jerrod.”
Are you a fictional or historical character?
      • “I’m thirty-two so let’s say I’m not historical yet. I don’t feel like a character in a book though I suppose I am. Sometimes being fictional is a pain.”
What’s your role in the story – are you the protagonist or a supporting character?
      • “I am the eldest son of a mob boss and do his dirty work. However I’m more than his lackey. I’m a writer and…. I’ll leave the mystery.”
Are you a human, animal, alien, robot, or something completely different?
      • “Definitely human. I don’t think my dad would be amused if I were an alien. I do wonder about my brother at times though. He’s a pain in the ass.”
    • Do you consider yourself to be good, bad, or indifferent?  Would others agree with this assessment – why, or why not?
      • “I portray bad due to my job as the mob boss’ son. I have secrets though which my father doesn’t know about, and I can’t tell you about in case he reads this interview.”

  • What do we need to know about you?
    • What is your personal goal?  I mean, what do you ultimately want?
      • “To leave the mob, publish my book and have a family.”
What is standing in your way?  What conflict(s) do you face?
      • “My brother and father. Neither know the real me and I can’t reveal what I do yet. I’m hoping I will one day.”
Why is this goal important to you?  What’s your motivation?
      • “Love is my motivation. I hate killing people even if they are the scourge of the earth. Even worse is when my father puts a target on the back of an innocent person.”
    • If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be, and why?
      • “I would remove the shackles my father has by tying me to the mob. I need my own life and what he is and does is horrible. I would prefer to keep the innocent safe and out of harm’s way.”

  • How do I get a copy of your book?
    • Is it available now, or when can we expect to see it released?
      • New Identity is on sale now in eBook and paperback from Amazon US, UK, CA and AUS.
