Modern day — Virginia Beach, VA. Gotta love a beach!
Who are you?
What is your name?
Emme Mayson
Are you a fictional or historical character?
Fictional I guess. (What? Talking to my sister, hang on) We are? I thought we were real? Shoot, this means I can make that author fix all my flaws, how do we contact her.
What’s your role in the story – are you the protagonist or a supporting character?
I’m the ‘co-protagonist’. Jackie Dickson is the other protagonist. We’re two of a kind. Ha! That’s a lie, we couldn’t be more different. But we’re stuck with each other – and we’re twins, we think—it’s complicated.
Are you a human, animal, alien, robot, or something completely different?
Human. Although my sister Jackie may disagree with that.
Do you consider yourself to be good, bad, or indifferent? Would others agree with this assessment – why, or why not?
Oh, I’m very good. Yes, they would agree, well, most people would.
What do we need to know about you?
What is your personal goal? I mean, what do you ultimately want?
To find out the secret past of our parents. They seem to have been spies, maybe, we just don’t know. There are so many secrets around them and we think they were murdered for them.
I want to go back to my real life and get out of this government program. Get my real name back, and bring whoever killed our parents to justice.
What is standing in your way? What conflict(s) do you face?
Every time we get close to answers, dead bodies sort of, well, they fall on me. I think it’s because they know I can’t help by try to find out the truth about their murder. I guilt my sister into helping. Oh, and there are a whole passel of people also trying to learn those secrets about our parents. It’s complicated.
Why is this goal important to you? What’s your motivation?
Apparently, everything we knew about our parents was wrong, a lie, and now we’ve been thrown into some government witness protection program because of what they did. So, that’s pretty dang important.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be, and why?
My sister says I’m way too trusting, and I am. I like to see the best in people and I always give them the benefit of the doubt….sometimes, that ain’t the best thing to do. She also says I’m too ‘perky’, I don’t believe anyone can be too perky.
How do I get a copy of your book?
Is it available now, or when can we expect to see it released?
