Enjoyable Seasonal Read
What a pleasurable tale. I loved the characters, the honest romances, and having a grandson with Autism, that element made it more personal. Just a lovely read.
When it comes to romance, despite the “fantasy” and “escapism” of it, I wasn’t substance. Just being hot isn’t enough for a real connecting, and for me, even in a book, it matters. That being said, I think this is one of my favorite lines ever: “…grateful that the one man I want in my life is just as flawed as me, and that those flaws are my favorite part of him.” That’s beautiful!
I recommend this book. It’s inspiring and emotional. There’s no politics or race – is just people trying to find their way. It’s an engaging, imperfect tale of living self and others.
