Fairy tales… immediately we think of children. Odd to think anyone could think they were inappropriate for kids, especially when a trademark is to have a lesson in them that teaches behavior. Still, that is exactly what’s happened in modern times. Many of our traditional fairy tales are considered too scary stories and ought to be told around a campfire. This just shows how times have changed.
Fairy tales are meant to teach us about good and evil, so they are stories where these entities are generally pitted against one another. Weaker characters always win. This means, too, that good always conquers evil.
Often, they include magic, special powers, and/or talking animals. These elements of supernatural or paranormal play into concepts being displayed in 3s and 7s due to their significance.
“In conclusion, ‘3’ is used for memory and recognition, while ‘7’ is used for luck and goodness.”
Why are the numbers 3 and 7 important in fairy tales?
Generally, fairy tales have a special opening, such as “once upon a time” or “In a land far, far away…” Royalty is a big theme in them, as well.
