What a striking short story! The premise is sad, but the truths revealed haunting. Such a well-devised tale.
When asked to edit this title, I didn’t know what to expect. Certainly not what I got!
Cassie is such a fascinating character with so much potential. I can’t wait to learn more about her and undergo more adventures with her. With emotions that are both hers and those around her, Cassie is also able to be quite disconnected. It makes her an enchanting conundrum. What creates her bonds or blocks her senses?
As the story is unveiled, so is Cassie. This is a lovely way to step into her world. It’ll make you want to return again, and again!

REVIEWED BY SAHARA FOLEYA Well-crafted Story
This has to be one of the strangest books I’ve read in a long time. Who knew files could be heroes. This is Ms. Gill’s first book, but she has two more in this series that will be released this year. I will be waiting in line.
For a first time author, I was impressed by how well-written the story was. Her writing was magical and fanciful, light and dark. Even though I loathe the overuse of metaphors, they fit right in, adding an element to the writing that would’ve been missing otherwise. Ms. Gill’s description of everything around the characters helped draw me into the story. I fell in love with Iolani and her dogged determination to save her cousin Eleanor and her mare Mango. Ms. Gill did a masterful job in developing Lani’s magical connection with the flies. How wonderful.
My only point of contention, I just don’t see how men with green lanterns stealing people’s memories would not have been noticed. But the story is so well-crafted that I really didn’t care. If you’re tired of the same boring plot lines and you’re thirsting for something new and different, then you need to read this story. This book will definitely be one of my favorites for 2016. I give it 5 feathers and I can’t wait to read the next story in the series.

REVIEWED BY KAREN J. MOSSMANI really enjoyed this short tale as it tells us about Nicole and her unexpected guest. She continually asks what he wants as she fears for her life. The two chat over tea and the mystery keeps us guessing as to who he has come for. And, to make it interesting there are a few red herrings along the way.
A great read that does exactly what it’s supposed to, entertain us for a short while.
I recommend it and Tea with the Reaper gets 5-stars.
