REVIEWED BY J.M. NORTHUPPleasurable Paranormal Read
I have relished in this series since I started reading it. When I was offered the chance to proofread the ARC of this short addition to the collection, I was thrilled. It has been an honor for me to be included on any level with this collection of books.
It was a delight to learn more about the protagonist, Cassie. With the focus being on her relationship with the manager of the Dandelion Cafe, Sue, and how she learned more about her psychic abilities, I gained more insight into this fascinating character. Her backstory is as interesting as her adventures, honestly.
I loved the friendship between Cassie and Sue, but it was also nice to have a bit of holiday tossed into the mix. Halloween is so appropriate with a paranormal adventure series, too. Of course, this was not what I had expected, which made it all the more pleasurable.
Great inclusion to this entertaining collection!

REVIEWED BY SAHARA FOLEYThis book had been on my kindle since July 2022, and since I love magic and paranormal tales, I was looking forward to reading it.
When Sera’s grandmother dies, she inherits the house she had fond memories of, but also the one she ran away from as a teenager when life got too tough. Now, she’s back and it turns out her life wasn’t what she thought. Nor, who she was told she was.
I enjoyed this story with it’s simmering romance, which didn’t stay simmering for long, and all the Fae and witchy stuff. Sera’s character is relatable and believable along with her ex-boyfriend, Jake. We should all have a Jake in our lives.
The fantastical world Sera finds herself a part of adds to the enjoyment. We have an ex-husband who’s a real scumbag, and a Fae who wants to take over the world. And the ‘good’ Fae aren’t really as cutesy as we imagine them. They never do anything for free. As we’re always told, magic comes with a price.
As time ticks down to the destruction of the town, secrets are revealed, and Sera has a new reality to deal with. There was a lot of action and the story was paced just enough to keep my interest.
I did want to know what happened to Will, the ex-husband, but that wasn’t addressed in this book. Maybe the next? However, it seems the second book will be about the Fae leader and Jake’s friend. We shall see.
If you love paranormal romance, action and adventure, some snark and misadventure, you might enjoy this tale. I give it 4 stars.

REVIEWED BY KAREN J. MOSSMANCharles and Susanne work at the same office. Getting time off without causing suspicion is not easy. So Susanne suggests her secluded lakeside cottage for a weekend getaway.
Charles is delighted as he hasn’t had the time to be alone with her properly yet.
I thought this was going to be a sexy read, which serves me right for not reading the description. As this is the next book in the collection, I would have read it whatever the description said. I enjoy the anticipation of not knowing what is coming. Well, I certainly had a surprise with this one!
Surprise is the wrong word, it was more of a shock. So much that my eyes automatically skipped a whole paragraph because I couldn’t bear to read it. Then found I was at the end of the book.
So beware, read the description. This is a horror in every sense of the words, and not for the squeamish.
