REVIEWED BY KAREN J. MOSSMANCould Easily Be A 5-Star
These are individual stories by different authors. As I understand it the writers attended a book fair held at Shrewsbury prison. I love how they gave them the same themed cover, and added them to Kindle Unlimited, too.
Wrong Place, Right Time starts the series well. Connor, who is one of the two main characters in the story, helps out a friend and lands himself in Eastward prison.
Gemma is a prison guard and enjoys the job she has had for the last few years.
As she and Connor have alternate chapters, we get to know them well and their stories are really interesting. They were once an item and ten years after their break up they still love each other.
Gemma and Connor are both strong and likeable people with a sense of vulnerability. I really liked them and enjoyed their stories . It was beautifully portrayed by the author.
However, I felt there was a lot more to tell, especially for Gemma. She must have gone through a lot of hardship and I wondered how life had evolved for her to get to this point. I’d have liked to have known more about Maxine and her husband Lee, who Gemma went to live with after the breakup.
In the second half of the book, the story seemed to change. Maxine became Natalie, and the magical moment when Connor and Gemma finally get their moment of passion was spoilt. Nothing in the first half suggested erotica. In my opinion, it didn’t fit.
Overall, I enjoyed it, and with more detail to fill in the missing bits, Wrong Place, Right Time could easily be a five star read.

REVIEWED BY KAREN J. MOSSMANA great story, well written, and devised.
This is the second book in the collection. They are individual stories by different authors. As I understand it the writers attended a book fair held at Shrewsbury prison. I love how they gave them the same themed cover, and added them to Kindle Unlimited, too.
I really enjoyed this book. Yes, it was a bit naughty, but I expected that and it was only a small bit of the storyline. It added to the relationship of Jack and Hannah.
Hannah’s a nurse and when she discovers the badly beaten body of a man. He is taken inside the prison to the ward she works in.
Jack, it turns out, has amnesia and Hannah sees it as a way to get out of a bad relationship.
It soon becomes clear that Jack is involved in gangland warfare. Life becomes tricky for Hannah as things takes a sinister twist. This leads up to a very exciting climax.
A great story, well written, and devised. I guessed the ending but was on pins to know if I was right. This gave me a sense of satisfaction with a great resolution to the story. I recommend it.

REVIEWED BY KAREN J. MOSSMANSomewhat Incomplete.
The protagonists in All Day and Night are Callie and Oz. She is a nurse at the prison, and this is where she meets Oz.
The story opens with an introduction to Oz, who is part of a motorbike gang. He murdered another gang member, and I felt this chapter could have been a story in itself as it had a lot more to tell. At this point, I wasn’t sure whether this tale was for me. However, it was a short book, so I continued.
Callie, I felt more akin to. She lived at home with her parents and suffered nightmares about her brother’s death. In order to find out who killed him, she bravely took a job at the prison. Oz was in the infirmary where he had been taken for treatment.
I enjoyed the story more from then. What I particularly liked was Callie meeting prison guard Gemma Hope whom we met in Wrong Place, Right Time, the first book in the series. I thought that was cool.
There are two reasons this ends up with three stars, apart from typos at the start. Callie’s name changed briefly to Fiona and there was no vengeance and justice as mentioned in the blurb. They hadn’t faced anything together because they had only just met. Part one was incomplete.

REVIEWED BY KAREN J. MOSSMANI recommend this book – Great Plot!
This story was very different from the others. I loved it for having such a great plot. I felt Ink of Deception had a very realistic view of prison life.
The chapters are split between three viewpoints. Catherine, Ray, and Ant. The latter being Catherine’s brother. He shares a cell with Ray, the man who is Catherine’s penpal. The letters become spicer as the months go on.
I liked Catherine, even if I felt she was a little naive and far too trusting. I wasn’t keen on Ray, after reading the tattooed hero’s from other books in the collection. And as for Ant, he was just a silly kid really.
This was exactly what the authors intended. I thought the plot was exceptionally good. The writing style blended nicely and you would never spot it was written by two different people.
I really did love the story of prison life and the convicts were scary. As for Ray, well, you need to read it for yourself to find out about him.
I recommend this book.

REVIEWED BY KAREN J. MOSSMANA superbly crafted story
This is the next book from this individual story collection about Eastward Prison. The authors attended a book fair held at Shrewsbury prison. I love how they gave each one the same themed cover, and also added them to Kindle Unlimited.
Return to Hell was a superbly crafted story. We also meet the prison governor whom we came across in an earlier book. It was a great connection.
I loved how the author took Governor Maceline Mais from All Day and All Night, and developed her into a full character. She played a big part in the story and I thought that was really cool.
Maladie is an American podcaster who comes to England to interview a notorious killer known as The Shrewsbury Ripper. It was gory and chilling in parts, and when Jack the Ripper entered the story it became all the more unsettling. This book was one heck of read. I really enjoyed the storyline and recommend it.

REVIEWED BY KAREN J. MOSSMANContained mature themes not my preference, but well written
It was a nice change to have a shifter wolf as part of the prison series. I enjoy reading about the packs and how they live, and change from people to four legged wolves.
Chase and Kaitriona are the main characters in this story. Chase was an Alpha leader and finds himself in a position he shouldn’t be, banged up in jail for a crime he didn’t commit.
This book wasn’t for me, but at eighty eight pages, I was able to finish it. It was clear in the description that it contained mature themes. I’d have preferred more of an in-depth storyline about shifters. Plenty of people enjoy these type of stories, and if you do, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as it is well written.
This is a quick read and the shortest of them all.

REVIEWED BY KAREN J. MOSSMANWell written and thought out, but too explicit for me
Kaden takes the fall, as in the title, and ends up in jail, instead of his brother. Eastward prison is a place full of prison fights, gangs, and long days. It’s everything you would image a place like this would be.
Then we meet Rio who shares a cell with Kaden and the viewpoint switches between the two.
The Fall Guy is a well written and thought out story. The plot is a complex one with a number of minor characters who all play their part in making it interesting and page turning.
However, it wasn’t my kind of story. I have read this author before so I knew it would be explicit in parts and it was. Her flexibility as a writer has to be admired no matter what the subject matter. If you like this kind of romance, then it has a great plot and more than just romance.
