My Book Review of Happy Witchgiving: A Wicked Witches of the Midwest Short

schoolHappy Witchgiving by Amanda M. Lee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fun Cast With Cozy Mystery

I’m from the Midwest, and witches fascinate me. Thanksgiving is one of the holidays I enjoy, and after recently reading books about pilgrims, the first Thanksgiving, and Salem witch hunts, this title screamed at me. I’m glad it did. It was a pleasurable read to indulge in.

I liked experiencing the story from the POV of the bachelor sheriff. His views and voice gave a unique contrast to the overwhelming estrogen barely contained in the Winchester household. LOL
I found his fatherly-uncle concerns endearing, as well. Though it would be lovely to see the author explore a relationship between Terry and Winnie, I appreciated the focus being on the relationship between Terry and the three teens, Bay in particular.

The mystery was well done. The teens involvement is great, but Tillie is hilarious. It’s such a great premise.

I recommend this short. Readers who love paranormal cozy mysteries will want to check this out. I’ll be looking into the rest of this author’s catalog.
