Killing the Witches: the Horror of Salem, Massachusetts by Bill O’ReillyMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
Wow – Provocative
I didn’t know what I was getting into when I picked this nonfiction book up. Nor did I know how relevant it would be for today’s cancel culture.
For example, the author wrote: “Today, there is a new kind of witch hunt. Accusations mean guilt. The press drives that every day. No one is executed, but lives are ruined in terrible ways. And there is no forgiveness for actual transgressions. The cancel culture makes sure of that. Demonization has cast a terrible fear across the land.”
Intense, right?
This book can be broken out into 4 sections that tie back together. First, you get the Salem witch trials. It moves on to show how those events influenced our founding fathers and the ideals of our nation. From there, you move into demon possession, focused on THE EXORCIST. Finally, it concludes with commentary about how all these things are mirrored in the witch hunts of cancel culture wokeism.
This is profound and provocative. I definitely recommend this book as it is an eye-opener. It isn’t religious nor secular; it just expresses views. It’s powerful.

Sounds interesting. I just added to my KU library.
