I Laughed Out Loud!
This is such a great book. It is so entertaining that I drug my adult daughter over to enjoy it with me, too. We were giggling despite the wonderful message behind the words.
The message is important – you are more than what people see. You are more than “what” you look like. WHO you are defines the person you are, and that definition is limitless. Truthful and beautiful – all kids NEED this message!
I loved how the friends rallied together. That was honest, as well. Humans can seem callus, but really, we care deeply. It was nice seeing that illustrated so simply in this adorable book.
I recommend this title and series. I’m such a fan. Penelope is charming, and the artwork is as brilliant as the writing!
