Beautiful Artistry, But Sometimes Superfluous

The plot of this book caught my eye. Overall, it was executed beautifully with the imagery tying into the story concept. Unfortunately, there were times when the painter’s view became too much for me. I understood what the author was trying to do, but it pulled me out of the story.

I liked the friendships and character arcs. I found the discussions about art enlightening, even when over-done. For me, it was a unique glimpse into the minds of creatives.

This book is a good read for those interested in art. It has a lovely romance and tale of human emotions being scarred and then healed. It’s worth reading.
