My Book Review of Black Dust (The Otis Thorne Thriller Series Book 2)

Great Story Concept

The plot of this book caught my interest. It was the storyline and characters that kept me reading. The concept isn’t new, but the presentation is original and modern.

I enjoyed the various perspectives. The author’s choice to give the tale from various character POVs helped bring it alive. However, I felt Noah was truly the protagonist instead of Otis.

What I struggled with was the structure. There was a lot of redundancy, especially in telling how “millions of people, animals, and birds” were affected. Improper paragraph structure and punctuation… A good edit would transform this novel into a must-read.

Overall, I felt this was entertaining. I was pulled from the story too many times due to easily corrected issues. If that stuff doesn’t infringe on your reading experience (which is visual, so does for me), I think you’ll enjoy this thriller.
