REVIEWED BY TIFFANY“For tonight, we either lived or died in The Wilds Nothing else mattered.”
“You are entering The Wilds. Entrance without a bonded creature is forbidden, unless you are a candidate. And if you are a candidate, good luck. May the stars guide your way.”
Words simply cannot express how much I loved this book!
The world that Leia Stone created is so well described that I couldn’t help but be fully immersed in it. I could actually see everything as it happened and was amazed. Every single character was well written, dynamic, multi-layered, and complex. This includes the ones that I didn’t like. They were jerks but believable jerks!
Aisling is such a strong character and I adore her bond with Tetra, who is actually amazing. I loved her adventure with Liana and the bond they share. It was fun watching her relationship with Kohen evolve and mature and can’t wait to read more.
I love Kohen’s “found family” that are with him at the academy and the fact that he really put effort into helping Aislin learn to trust him.
Thank you so much TheNerdfam and Leia Stone for gifting me an arc of this amazing book!

REVIEWED BY THERESA HULONGBAYANThe audible performance was great. I loved the expression of the reader.
Another dark look at the mysterious world of legends and haunting history. The book shows how our perception of darkness is influenced by our culture.
Easton and Angus have returned to Galicia in an attempt to provide Mrs Potter access to mushrooms. They find a mystery in the old hunting lodge that is more dangerous than two old soldiers were prepared for.
I really like the characters and the mystery they set up.

REVIEWED BY TIFFANY“But let it be my ambition and not my fear that seals my fate.”
Leigh Bardugo has done it again and absolutely written a hit! I truly enjoyed this historical fantasy that is set in the Spanish Golden Age.
Luzia is such a strong character and she’s surrounded by so many people that she’s not sure she can fully trust. She has so many secrets to hide that could easily get her killed. She has magic and she also has to hide her Jewish heritage.
When her magical powers are discovered, she’s entered into a tournament to assist the King in the war against England’s heretic Queen. Her benefactor’s familiar is training her to help her win the tournament and she’s not sure if she can trust even him. There is obviously so much more to the Familiar than he lets on.
There is so much intrigue and betrayal on all sides. Everyone has secrets and alliances are being broken all over the place.
This book really held my attention and it was such an emotional adventure. I almost wish this was a series because I’d love more time with Luzia and Teoda but I have to admit that Bardugo ended the story perfectly.
