Kids Will Love It
This was a cute read with a lovely message.
What I liked was the unconditional friendship. It really resonated with me when I read how sometimes facing things that scare us can set us free. What a wonderful thing to teach to kids!
What I disliked was the unnecessary toilet humor. I understand the toilet and #2 talk was brought in to amuse children, but it really had nothing to do with the story. I felt this could have been just as good, if not better, without the mention of poop. Then they didn’t even was the Dino, despite putting him into the sink. Yuck!
I know children will love story. My grandkids are all about toilet humor, much to my chagrin. I just feel we could do a better job to teach them hygiene along with our exploitation of this obsession. There is more to learn than just acceptance and kindness.
