- My story mainly takes place in the Cornwall historic jail, an old haunted building. I go there with my family to conduct a paranormal investigation in October and think a ghost follows us home.

- My name is Kristen Roy.

- I am a fictional character based on the author.
- What’s your role in the story – are you the protagonist or a supporting character?
- I am the main character and the reason our family ended up doing a paranormal investigation at the Cornwall historical jail. Unlike my skeptical husband, I truly believe in ghosts and that we can communicate with them.
- Are you a human, animal, alien, robot, or something completely different?
- I am human, like most of my characters. Some of them are also ghosts.
- Do you consider yourself to be good, bad, or indifferent? Would others agree with this assessment – why, or why not?
- I am good, but some characters in the book (ghosts) are not.

- What is your personal goal? I mean, what do you ultimately want?
- I want to communicate with the spirits haunting the Cornwall historical jail. Various types of criminals have died on the premised; even hung. People who were deemed insane or homeless have also perished in the building. I want to know their stories.
- What is standing in your way? What conflict(s) do you face?
- My husband, Dave, doesn’t take paranormal investigation seriously. He keeps trying to find logical explanations for any unusual occurrence and believes we are creating stories ourselves with the Ouija board and other available ghost hunting equipment. Anything that can’t be explained is just a coincidence to him, and he often mocks me.
- Why is this goal important to you? What’s your motivation?
- I thought it would be exciting to communicate with ghosts.
- If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be, and why?
- Not be afraid of spiders, because it’s ridiculous that I can go ghost hunting but run at the sight of a little critter.
