Fast-paced and intriguing
What an original, action-packed urban fantasy tale of crime and mystery. There are so many layers, and I’m thrilled it doesn’t end with one book. I can’t wait to continue reading the series!
Dahlia Nite is a great protagonist. Powerful, yet human. Supernatural, yet relatable. She is interesting with her own mysteries waiting to be untangled while being someone you care about and like.
I liked the honesty of the book. It showed the characters as they are – good and bad. It made every creature “human.” It allowed you to feel along with Dahl, heightening her empathic abilities. The descriptions brought vivid imagery and pulled me into the pages.
I recommend this title. There’s some violence and disturbing events, but it is necessary. It’s a murder mystery involving a dragon-shifter who was once an executioner, so… just be ready for that.
Off to book two for me!!!
