Love it!

My grandson was stoked to get this book, especially because he knew I loved cats, and he wanted to share it with me. There’s so much to appreciate about that. I am moved by his love for me, literature, and cats!

When we read it together, it was such a special moment and created a delightful memory. The story is educational, yet fun. Written in a rhyming prose, it enchants the reader, keeping one engaged. The layout also keeps ones attention, with great illustrations and original displays.

I feel the text of this book leans more towards the older end of kids (middle grade – ages 6-14), though the illustrations will tantalize even the younger readers. I think for the less mature audience, it will be about the experience shared with the adult(s) reading with them and how they help to bring the story alive for them. Though this is a beautiful book and has everything a children’s title ought to, it is still a learning tool that toddlers will lose interest in, focusing instead on the images and presenter.

As an adult, I really enjoyed this book. I learned from it in an entertaining way, despite my vast knowledge of felines. It was lovely and something I will treasure thanks to my grandson!
