My Book Review of How to Catch a Turkey

Funny and Encouraging

I read this with my granddaughter. She shared it with me during our visit, and we giggled together, enjoying it very much. Though she was more than able to read it, she asked me to, and it was great fun.

The story is silly, but has a good message. A lesson on facing your fears told in an entertaining way with great illustrations to bring the tale to life. The expressions were a hoot!

This is a feel-good book that can be easily read to or with your kids. It is both a Thanksgiving story and also perfect for helping children deal with “stage fright” of any type. This specifically addresses being in a play, but it any sort of public speaking or appearances would be relevant (i.e. school presentation).

Super cute and encouraging!
