Today’s observance is celebrated on January 13th in honor of R. Stanton Avery‘s birthday. You might wonder why while recognizing “avery” as something related to labels. Well, this is because Mr. Avery created the American inventor who created the self-adhesive label, which is a sticker.

Stickers. There is an argument that they are both useful and nonsensical. For example, they are useful to mark an item for sale while they are a nightmare for a parent whose child covered their dresser in them. I know that as both the child culprit and the parent who spent hours peeling them off. LOL
