Everyone should have a love like Sumner.
This was a sweet story. It hit all the expectations for the trope: emotional struggle, steamy romance, and HEA. In addition, it offered likable characters you cared about.
It was nice to read a beautiful tale of a man who believes in family. It was refreshing to see the dynamic of Sumner proving what a real partner was instead of the alpha male or damsel plot. The support our leading man offers Britta wins the reader over with its sincerity and respect.
It’s an old story retold in a sporty way, but it’s charming. I enjoyed reading this book and recommend it. It’s a feel-good romance that leaves you with a sense of hope.
