My Book Review of Iron Mike
Iron Mike: A boy. A dog. The end of the world. by Patricia Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
So Well-Crafted!
Having heard how this story impacted my friend, I had to read it. Now that I have, I’m so thankful I did. It’s so well-crafted!
The emotions and action are dynamic. They are everything you’d expect, plus so much more. Even in the quiet, there’s intensity. Your mind is always racing for the characters you fall in love with or despise so deeply.
The aliens are refreshing and original. Even when elements are recycled from trope expectations, there are twists. More so, the author did a great job making it feel authentic.
I definitely recommend this dark dystopian tale. It isn’t perfect, but the imperfections aren’t noticed because it’s so compelling. I just want more!!!!
