Do you consider yourself to be good, bad, or indifferent? Would others agree with this assessment – why, or why not?
We are God fearing Presbyterians who survived the battle but lost our home.
What do we need to know about you?
What is your personal goal? I mean, what do you ultimately want?
To tend my farm and raise and educate my children as Christians.
What is standing in your way? What conflict(s) do you face?
In March 1781, thousands of British and American soldiers fought the Battle of Guilford Courthouse on March 15, 1781, on my 107-acre farm. My family hid in the family Spring House while I fought the British on the first line where I was captured by the British. My mother, wife and children witnessed the bloody battle fought in our cornfields. My mother bartered whiskey for my release after the battle.
Why is this goal important to you? What’s your motivation?
We all survived but were traumatized by the carnage and the loss of our home.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be, and why?
There was nothing I or anyone could do to stop the greatest Army in the World from coming through our fields to attack General Nathaniel Greene who had chosen the farm to stop the British.
How do I get a copy of your book?
Is it available now, or when can we expect to see it released?
