Readers – It’s National Aviation Day

National Aviation Day is celebrated on Orville Wright‘s birthday (August 19, 1871), and it occurs during National Aviation Week. Franklin Delano Roosevelt established it as an observance in 1939. It is a time meant to recognize and celebrate the pioneers of aviation – not just the aviators themselves, but the engineers, mechanics, and all the personnel that made human flight possible!
